Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte has admitted that he is trying to 'copy' Casemiro and claimed that he is 'learning a lot' from the veteran.

Ugarte joined United from Paris Saint-Germain last summer in a deadline day deal, as they wanted a long-term defensive midfielder to eventually succeed Casemiro at Old Trafford. However, the Uruguayan has struggled to find the kind of form he showed in France and has invited a lot of criticism from fans and pundits alike.

Casemiro, himself, has also struggled a lot for form as well since he shifted to Old Trafford from Real Madrid, however, the 33-year-old has gained some form, as showcased in his solid Europa League performances in the knockout rounds. Ugarte still remains United's preferred option going into next season, and Ugarte has revealed he is learning a lot from the Brazilian legend.
WHAT UGARTE SAID
Speaking to the media, Ugarte said: “I'm learning a lot with [Casemiro]. I have very good relations with Case. I try to copy as much as I can, all the good things that he has as a player.
“And not only inside the pitch, but outside the pitch too. These are things that make you win, because he's a winner. I feel very comfortable.
"I speak a lot with Casemiro, and up until now I keep learning and I'm very happy.”

Ugarte and Casemiro will likely play a major part in deciding whether United can play Champions League football next season, as the Red Devils have to win the Europa League to get European football. They will be in action later today against Athletic Club.
