While Alonso claims he is "planning" for the season with Tah, the club have been linked with a swoop to sign free agent Mats Hummels if Tah does leave. The Leverkusen boss does accept, however, that this is a fluid situation which may well change.
WHAT ALONSO SAID
Alonso told reporters: “I’m planning with Jona because he’s so important to us, on the pitch, but also off the pitch. That’s my idea at the moment. But I’m not turning a blind eye to the situation. We’ll see what happens. He’s fully focused, a top professional. I have no reason to complain.”
